In 2016, the RHS, Bat Conservation Trust and The Wildlife Trusts joined forces to launch a new competition for the best insect-friendly plant display.
We had more than 50 fantastic entries and the judges struggled to pick just three winners. But eventually they did and we’re delighted to announce the three winners are:
School Category
Winner: Southill Lower School Garden Club
Prize: Youth Leader Membership to BCT and a schools goody pack from Wildlife Watch, plus a Forest Holidays goody bag
Group Category
Winner: Leasowes Walled Garden
Prize: Visit from a bat enthusiast , a bat box plus £100 Jamie’s Italian voucher from Forest Holidays
Individual Category
Winner: Paul Burton, Ribble Valley
Prize: Cabin break with Forest Holidays, a bat detector and ‘adopt-a-bat’ pack plus Wildlife Watch goodies
